My adventure in becoming a [Good] Mormon

I’m leaving (on a jet plane!!!)

No, actually, I’m driving…6 hours XD. Then in four days we’re driving into eternity as we drive to Montana and Oregon. But that’s tomorrow. Meaning there won’t be posts about anything, but I’ll have my journal with so I won’t forget what I wanna write!

Also, my camera stopped working….The day before I leave….Yeeeaaaaah….*facedesk*

Blessing finally!

Got me a blessing on Sunday (Had to miss part of YW’s though 😦 ). Rule type things say I can’t actually tell what was said (actually, I’m not even going to really tell what I’m allowed to tell. Unless by some happening you come to YW’s on a testimony sunday, it will most likely never actually be told outside of that and my journal so fnah!), but I can and will say that my tribe that I’m descended from/adopted into is Ephraim. But otherwise, it was a fascinating experience *is now going to write everything not written here in one of the many journals*

Blessing nao?

Going for my Patriarchal blessing this Sunday, which means I gotta fast tomorrow…For once, I’m not looking forward to it because it’s insanely hot out which creates a thirsty, hungry, hot and overall grouchpouchy mormon noob. But sall good!

In other parts of my life: I’m going to create my first entry ever for a deviantart contest. It has to be your ideal image of yourself with a ‘familiar’ (ie: Animal type thing that is an extension of yourself) but I can’t come up with what type of animal best represents me. And Star Trek never really got into animals…Excepts Targs, but I’m not very Klingon XD. Good thing the contest doesn’t end till September 1st!!

OREGOOOOON!!!

I’m going to Oregon on the 23rd!! So instead of house sitting for my sister, I’ll be going with them!^^

I’m gonna go check to see if there’s anything Mormon and interesting that went on in Oregon *toddles off*

Live long & Prosper!!

For the lawls…

This made my day:

Moar musiks

Ok, my brain seems to think best in the wee hours of the morning….

1)I’ve discovered one form of worship music that I absolutely love: Gregorian chants

2)I lied, I do love worship music, more than I thought, but only some groups. We used to sing worship music all the time at camp (I’m not joking, 2 hours in the morning, 2 at night and intermittently throughout the day. And it was good stuff too…). I’ve trolled youtube for a bit now and am in the process of compiling a worship music playlist.

To be honest: Although I do find Mormon hymns nice, I feel they lack something.  Here, I’ll compare (*Just got attacked by finding ‘Dies Irae in Gregorian chant*)

Ok, apparently the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has never sung my all time fave hymn ‘The Lord is my Light” D:<

I need to stop youtube trolling “The Mormons are Masons” made me first: Squee but second:Facedesk….Sorry, but the stupidity of people amazes me….I don’t think I’ll be comparing music anytime soon. I’ll rant on the illogicality of treating Masonary as something like the New World Order later.

*rages* Mormon choir sung hymns are lacking on youtube (The ones that are my favourites anyways >.>)….But, not Mormon, still good

We sang this at camp all the time. I think the word I’m looking for is ‘expressive’. Sure, Mormon hymns can be expressive, but I like to throw everything I’ve got into something like this and you can’t dance to a Mormon hymn =P.

Here’s the start of the mentioned playlist, don’t worry, it’ll grow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoxopsRSfdU&feature=PlayList&p=9F75A48AE9318C00&playnext_from=PL&index=1

But I haven’t looked up Mormon worship music yet, maybe something like this exists…*Is off hunting*
